One dozen Large eggs from Burroughs Family Farms.
Their hens are out on pasture every day with coops that are mobile, so they’re always on fresh ground. They move them a couple times a week so they can graze on green grass, clovers, legumes, and hunt for bugs like chickens are meant to do.
Along with what they find out there, they give them a supplemental organic, non-GMO feed. It’s made up of organic grains (including corn and soy), plus some wheat, and barley, along with minerals, vitamins, and probiotics. They can eat that as they need it.
Thair chickens eat a wide variety of plants and insects from the organic pastures. Their diet is supplemented with a mixture of organic grains and minerals. All of the chickens at Burroughs Family Farms are free-range and cage-free. The eggs are hand gathered, washed and packed at our farm in Merced County.
