Agua de Sandia (Watermelon Juice)

Agua de Sandia (Watermelon Juice)

Nicole Jimenez

Agua de Sandia translates to Watermelon Water. I know, silly translation! Also known as Agua Fresca (Fresh Water) which still doesn't quite capture the GOODNESS of this drink.

How it's made:
There are MANY different ways to make it so if you're a pro and have an alternate recipe, please share!

Cube watermelon. Blend about 2 cups with 1/2 cup of water. Strain the liquid (or not, if you want a thicker juice). Add some lime (or any citrus) juice to taste. Add some sugar if you like it sweet (or not), stir to combine. Serve over ice with mint. Enjoy!

Add some vodka or bubbly for a tasty adult beverage.
Like Coconut Water?? Sub the regular water for coconut water for added health benefits.
